Verification against EU law for Union citizen family members

This application enables non-EU family members of EU citizens to obtain a residence permit to stay in the Netherlands together with an EU citizen. Family members of EU citizens have more flexible admission criteria compared to family members of Dutch citizens and non-EU citizens. Income  is less stringent  and mandatory Dutch  exam is not needed.

Key Requirements:  

For this application, no EU family member should first travel to the Netherlands with a Schengen visa and submit your application in the Netherlands.

The EU citizen who will sponsor the family member must have an address registered in the Netherlands and meet the income requirement.
